Monday October 9:

  • Take Flight!

Tuesday October 10: 

  • Objective: Practice our presentation skills and learn more about our community members.
  • Entry: Get your cultural watershed visual and bring it to your desk.
  • Activity: Small group rotations to present our cultural watersheds to people from other table groups.

Wednesday/Thursday October 11/12:

  • Objective: Practice our presentation skills and learn more about our community members. Also, to wrap up our first project and complete the associated reflection
  • Entry: Get your cultural watershed visual and bring it to your desk.
  • Activity: 
    • Small group rotations to present our cultural watersheds to people from other table groups. This will be our final time for presentations
    • Complete project reflection.
    • Closing: What were your favorite new things you learned about people in this class during this project?

Friday October 13:

  • Objective: Begin to identify strategies to analyze and test the accuracy of claims in written work.
  • Entry: 
    • What is a claim?
    • How can you tell whether a claim that someone makes is true of false?
  • Activity: Claim testing: Introduction. Work to complete the activity in your groups, each person be ready to discuss their thinking with the whole class.
  • Closing: Debrief our activity.
