Plan: play the video lessons, students take notes and draw along in their Visual Arts Journals.

Playing the videos: You can connect a laptop with an HDMI input/output, or the video can be brought up on the Promethean board YouTube app or Chromium app. You can also ask a student to connect their laptop via HDMI to play the videos on the Promethean Board or borrow from office if needed.

Students should draw along with everything the artist draws in their Visual Arts Journal.
You can pause the videos and go back if the students need to see again.
Remind students that we watch videos to learn, and that these exercises should be done slowly and intentionally. They should be doing their best work, while trying to build drawing skills.
These video/drawing activities should take the whole class time.
Please remind/make sure students are using real pencils (wood/graphite), not mechanical pencils. Each table should have at least one for each student in the table caddies.
You could also remind them that when using graphite pencils for shading, we do not want a fully sharpened pencil! The point should only be used for edge work and finishing details, not shading.
