Buggy Lab

Given a buggy, measuring tape, position marker (pennies) and a time keeping device, students can graph position (units) v. time (s). Using hand calculations, or software, find a best fit line and determine slope.
Students can use this lab to practice our graphing, math model, and sentence model skills. We will be discussing and sharing our results from today on large whiteboards/tv/room whiteboards. Be prepared to share your slope sentence, math model, and answer some questions about your data!
Notes: Discussion on Thursday before data collect on different changes in position (distance, path length, displacement). We will also talk about scalar vs. vector quantities.
