Monday January 29: Welcome to Semester 2!
- Objective: To understand the basic parameters of the Unit 2 Summative Project, to refresh our MLA formatting knowledge, and to express our project topic interest.

Tuesday January 30:
- Objective: To identify the differences between primary, secondary, and scholarly sources. Additionally, to make sure we have ways to access scholarly documents for our research.
- Entry:
- What is the difference between a primary source and a secondary source?
- What is a scholarly source? Where do you think we can reliably find them?
- Activity
- Access scholarly database through King County Library

- Step 1: Under the "Kids and Teens" tab, navigate to "Student Accounts"
- Step 2: Click on "Middle and High School Students" on the left side of the page
- Step 3: Click the "Find Online Resources from Home" link
- Step 4: Click on the "A-Z List" button under Browse All
- Step 5: Scroll down to the link for "eLibrary (ProQuest) and click on that link.
- Step 6: Sign into your account.
- Login: 401+full student ID
- PIN: Last four digits of student ID
- Access JSTOR, another scholarly database.
- Step 1: Go to JSTOR.org
- Step 2: Click on the "Register" Link at the top
- Step 3: Complete the online registration using your highline student email.
- Access scholarly database through King County Library

- Objective: To get into our project teams and complete our operating agreements. Also, to create a realistic timeline for our projects and develop guiding questions for our research.
