- Objective: To explore one of the bigger remaining mysteries about early human migration: when did humans get to the Americas? After looking at a variety of theories we will decide which theory we find most plausible, identify that with a clear claim, and back our claim with text evidence.

- If you had to travel from eastern Asia to the North or South America today, how would you do it?
- What level of technology would you need to be successful?
- With no planes, motors, or even real sails, how do you think people made this journey tens of thousands of years ago?

- Objective: To define the term "agricultural revolution" and to identify the major areas where humans independently developed agriculture.

- What are some of the biggest benefits of living in the modern world?
- What are some of the biggest drawbacks?
- Of all the food that you eat, how much (or what percentage) of it could you accurately name where it comes from?
