Extreme Weather Presentations

Each Group will be assigned an extreme weather event/ pattern.

In your group, create a small & short (under 7 minutes) presentation on the assigned event. To be presented next week. (Monday 11/20 & Tuesday 11/21)

Make sure your presentation answers the following questions. 

• Definition
• Other names for the phenomenon
• Factors that make it happen? 
• What is the wind pattern leading up to and during? 
• What is happening in the atmosphere
• Where geographically does this weather event occur? 
• Does this weather event happen at a certain time of year? If so, when and why? 
• Fun/ interesting facts (minimum 3) 

Group 1- Thunderstorms

Group 2- Hurricanes

Group 3- Tornados

Group 4- Haboobs (Dust Storms)

Group 5- Hail storms

Group 6- Floods

Group 7- Blizzards

Group 8- Ice Storms

Group 9-Derecho

Each member of the group needs to speak during the presentation. 

*Yes, I assigned you groups. It was the easiest for my sub. Get over it. In full honesty, I just hit the button on Canvas, and it made the groups for me. If you are mad, sorry, not sorry. It's ok to work with people other than your friends. Practice for the real world.
